Zenna tdai & Japanese Restaurant in Plano

Been coming to this location since at least 2010. Over the years, the consistency of the restaurant has gone out the door. Several staff walkouts, extremely long waits for food, wrong orders, and the prices have gone up. Knowing how good the same foods they serve now used to be, and after waiting for over an hour for an order today, I’ve had enough and I can’t come back anymore.

Wrote a bad review and after today's visit had to edit it, I went like 3 weeks ago and the service wasn't good, today we gave it another opportunity and our experience was great! Food was good service was right on point got everything we ordered on a timely manner, our waiter was great. Will definitely go back, please make sure to keep providing a good service.

Great happy hour deals that run late so it’s easy to make after work. Also, their Pad Thai and tulip dumplings (steamed and fried) are really good and I get it almost every time. beware of the spicy levels when choosing food cause it gets HOT quick!

I had been in Thailand as well as Japan for awhile and loved the food. I missed finding good sushi as well as good curry. This place had great dishes with great flavors. I had the shrimp sushi and green curry - loved them both. Portions were large enough that I have some for tomorrow. The place is really busy but our food came out fairly fast and service was great! The only thing I would have changed is have some pumpkin in the curry but all was great. They also have a full bar. There is one of these in Mesquite but several have told me that the PLANO one is much better.

Pretty great place for Asian food. The prices are a bit high but portions are big. Definitely more pricey thank a lot of other restaurants. I forgot to take photos but the fried rice that I got had huge chunks of chicken and onion. The chicken I get but the onion in huge pieces was kind of weird. By far the worst part however was just the way we were treated. The server didn't seem like he wanted to be there and when they messed up my girlfriend's order by not giving her the right spice level on her rice, we thought they were gonna take it back and fix it or something but instead they just brought out some hot sauce. So the whole experience was just kind of unpleasant, except for the decorations! The place looked nice and dark themed. Too bad the service wasn't very good

Cozy, casual atmosphere. The restaurant was packed with patrons. But that did not deter the waitstaff from providing excellent service. EMNORMOUS portions. Great value for your hard earned dollars. From the appetizers to dessert we were well pleased. We will definitely be coming back.

I’ve always been confused by the choice of music at Zenna, but the food is always great! Sushi is fresh, and the spring rolls were so crispy and awesome. It’s always a treat when we come here. Good drinks too!

Zenna's is amazing for the money! A wide selection of food + drinks is always welcomed. The atmosphere is okay. Zenna's roll is awesome!

We came to this place for dinner. my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, it was very nice. the staff were so friendly and we felt excellent. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. Highly recommended.

Good food, but it’s hard to get them on the phone to place a to go order. Was on hold for 5 minutes and just hung up as to not wait any longer.

I’ve been coming here since 2011 and have brought many people over the years. I’m extremely disappointed with how bad the service and management has become. It’s been bad in the past, but is getting so much worse now. We placed an order at 7PM, was told it would be ready by 7:45PM - came in at that time and told it wasn’t ready yet. Got a text saying it was ready, walked in and then told not yet again. Come back in 15 min later and then told our order was actually not in the system. Wait some more, then was told that our order was given to someone else 40 minutes prior. Manager was not very helpful at all and didn’t seem to want to make it right for us, but put the order back in to be re-made. We waited again and get our food, check the bag while driving home to realize it had items missing. 1 hour and 45 min later we are finally with food in hand heading home at 8:50PM. Do not recommend this location at all. Good food, but absolutely horrible service and management.

Met 2 other friends for happy hour. Does not disappoint! We sampled 6 different appetizers from pot stickers to sushi. We loved every one. the Basil chicken is unique and worth trying. So very good. Wine is very inexpensive during happy hour. Bring your patience because they are very busy during this time and service is lacking. But the atmosphere is fun and the food and drink are worth the wait.

The food is really good. The happy hour special makes it so much better!

I've been coming to Zennas for years and have never been disappointed the food is always great and everyone is so friendly! Tonight I ordered sushi and I'm not sure if there's a new sushi chef but this is the best it has ever been! I just wanted to give props to him/her because this is AWESOME!!

This place is my favored. I visit a lot of restaurants but here I constantly return again and again. The crew is very professional and the cuisine they cook is so fresh and tasty. I would always prefer to have a decent dinner here. I highly recommend this place.

Great food BUT can't add meat to certain entrees as whoever built the order menu on Uber Eats didn't include this option. So you order on Uber Eats, and then have to call the restaurant to modify your order to add this. That is, if they ever pick up the phone and answer your call. So I often end up having to eat something but it wasn't the way I wanted it. So frustrating.

Please don't order from here during the pandemic...it was an awful experience! 1. They required masks be worn into the restaurant, but their staff weren't wearing them 2. I waited over and hour and 15 minutes for food in the restaurant where we were all crammed in a space (not social distancing) 3. They told me they would call my number so I didn't have to wait with everybody in the restaurant and they never called! Luckily, I was in the restaurant because they just shouted my name and dropped it on the table4. My order was incorrect 5. They didn't apologize for the late order, offer me a discount, or even a coupon for my next visit

I always order my green curry spicy. I want it at a 4 or a 5 and they ALWAYS make it mild. PLEASE trust me when I order it spicy, don’t look at me and decide what level of spice I can handle on the food I’m paying for. It’s disappointing.

I always like the food here but tonight I came in for takeout and the host was ignoring me and when I finally got the manager so I could order my takeout he finally acknowledged me. I'm no sure if they think this is good service or not but I don't. Luckily they have great food and are open late.

Solid place for some cheap sushi and cheap drinks. Great happy hour menu. Sushi can be a hit or a miss with rice being too rubbery most of the time. Service typically is slow so have patience but it’s worth the money. Great spot.

Service and food, as usual, was excellent! Had California Roll and Pineapple Curry with sticky rice. Wifey had peanut chicken and it was awesome too. Can't wait to go back!!

Terrible customer service. We have been coming for 8 years and it seems to be getting worse. After waiting over an hour and a half for my order to go, they realized they had given it to someone else. The manager would not compensate me or give a discount for the inconvenience at all. He offered $5 on a $55 tab. Ridiculous. And now, we are sticking for our new order. This used to be my husband and I’s favorite restaurant but we will not be back. I do not recommend coming here unless you like long waits and unhelpful staff.Update: we got our replacement order and they didn’t include two items. Seriously, don’t come here.

I recently visited this place and although the food was great, the service was not. I work in the food industry and understand the heightened importance of treating your paying customers with hospitality. When we very kindly asked our server, Fred, for extra tomatoes with our meal he was less than happy to accommodate. In fact, he wasn’t just less-than-happy but crossed the borderline of disrespectful and walked away from our table while we were still ordering. He made it very clear he was unhappy to be our waiter and to this day I’m unsure of why that was. I habitually tip 20% or more when deserved but unfortunately, we were unable to provide a good tip on a $74 bill due to the poor service. The only good thing about Fred was that he recommended the Zenna lemonade which ended up being a delicious alcoholic beverage. The lamb chops are worth trying, as well. Great food. Great prices. Iffy service.

This is the best Thai food I have had. The ambiance leaves a little to be desired. The seats on the tables have cracks in them, and it seems run down. But the food is amazing every time I go.

Called to place a Togo order. I asked for a substitute which I always do and was told they don’t do it. (Maybe she was new) then She asked and turns out they do! 20 minute Togo order took 45 min. The girl up front kept telling me different times. Got my food and it wasn’t even hot. Didn’t even want to give it the one star!
